Relief Drought & Proofing, Maharashtra
The project rejuvenated 9 cement check dams, 3 percolation tanks and construction of 10 gabion structures on the drainage flowing through Bolegaon, Sagroli, Shimpala and Laghul villages in Biloli Taluka of Nanded district. The rejuvenation of above referred water bodies would activate the dug wells, tube wells along the stream. This will ensure a protective irrigation during the long dry spells in monsoon saving the standing crops. In addition, the rejuvenation will restore the water storage capacity of tanks and CNBs and generate employment for labor to a certain extent
